My name is Marion Waters and I am 75 years of age. I have suffered from back pain for many years and now I have Spondylitis. Although our mattress wasn't old we decide to look into buying a new one that might help my pain and be able to sleep longer. We went to your DFO store in Essendon and met your salesman Peter. He was so helpful and spent a long time describing which bed he thought would be best for me.

After it was delivered Peter came to our house to adjust the slats to accommodate the pain in my hip which was causing most of the pain. For most people this would have been enough but my back pain was gradually getting worse due to the degenerative disease of the bones and I had to sleep in our recliner chair. My husband said that he thought he was in heaven sleeping on the new mattress and it was the best mattress he had ever slept on.

After some time I rang Peter to see if he could come out again to look at the bed. After I explained that although the bed was really comfortable I still could not sleep on my side. This is when Peter told me about the rubber topper that could be put on the mattress so we purchased one. Well you would not believe the difference it made to my pain. I am now out of the recliner and back to having a great night's sleep in my bed. You should have named your mattresses "Miracle Mattresses". I cannot praise Peter enough for his kindness and I want to thank you for inventing these wonderful mattresses.

Unfortunately I am now in a wheelchair but thank goodness I can sleep in my "Miracle Bed"

Dear Mario,

Thankyou for your letter regarding my purchase of a "Bed for Backs" Bed.

Congratulations on a job well done. As a MS sufferer for the last 6 years, I had such a hard time finding a suitable bed for me to get some rest.

Working at Myer, I think I wore out the sales consultant in the Bedding Department as I purchased 3 different mattress/base beds, to no avail. I used to wake up in the morning with the sorest neck and spine pain that would make my life unbearable.

My last thought was try a bed at "Beds for Backs", and I thank the lord that I did.

I now have a restful night's sleep and I wake up with feeling like I have actually slept. This is helping me with my pain as it is much more manageable.

God Bless you Mario......I have told all my friends/colleagues/relatives about the great sleep that I am having in my new beautiful bed.

I would like the Managing Director to know that my good wife and I purchased two mattresses from Peter Cockrum last Sunday Aug 22nd @ your South Melbourne Store.

We had previously encountered Peter @ DFO Essendon and were most happy with his total professionalism and sales approach to the point I would personally recommend that he train all of beds 4 backs staff in how to sell beds to customers. Peter was totally professional and only interested in selling the customer exactly what he identified through discussion the customer needed and was an appropriate mattress for their needs.

As an example of how happy my wife and I were with Peter initially about a month or so ago, when we found he wasn't @ DFO Essendon where we had previously encountered him on a Sunday, we quickly through your DFO store identified where he was working last Sunday and travelled along way out of our way (we live near Tullamarine Airport) to South Melbourne to have Peter sell us the mattresses we required. His attention to detail is second to none.

Peter is a total professional and an asset to beds 4 backs. Please treat and reward him appropriately.

Dear Mario

I am writing in answer to your "A personal Thank You from Mario Piranino" letter.

I am writing this on behalf of my Brother-In-Law John Granland of 69 Bridgewater Way, Rowville 3178, in the hope you deem it fit as a winning entry of your Colonial Tramcar Restaurant Dinner for 2 competition.

Some twenty-two years ago I was working as a landscape gardener, and was physically securing my load of boulder on the back of my tip-truck. I spread each load out as evenly as possible - to ensure a better and safer drive back to the …..yard and to make sure of no damage to the large boulders during the trip. I was very tired and was stepping backwards looking over the load to see it was as level as possible. I literally stepped off the back of the trip-truck onto ground below.

I sustained considerably damage to my spine and have suffered greatly with severe back pain ever since. A few years ago I had a total knee replacement was also partly a result of this. A comfortable nights sleep was most uncommon for me, and when I purchased my new bed from Beds for Backs recently I was hopeful although not all that confident of being able to get that illusive "Good Nights Sleep"! The first few nights with my new bed I thought it was just because it was - "A new bed has to be better than the old one", but it is not only better it is really fantastic and I have told anyone who listens about the relief I am experiencing, after all this time through the benefit of this new bed and yes Mario, I really do wake up smiling!!!

Mario, I hope you find this little story interesting but also hope it is one of the successful ones in your competition because I know my brother-in law would really enjoy this great prize you are offering.

Dear Mario,

Thank you for your letter, of which we are very pleased to reply too on our experience with your bed we purchased and received on Saturday 19th March this year 2011.

Being as we are aged from the late 60s to the early 70's we have slept in many hundreds of beds over the years but yours has been most welcomed to our bed room suite.

We found the La Contessa Mattress and base (QS 563 Queen) to be so warm and most comfortable to our nights sleeping pattern. We were we told by the sales man David Hughes in the Dandenong showroom we would not need electric blankets, how true where his words.

The mattress wants to wrap itself around your body forming a mould helping one to have a well earned night rest, supporting the whole body with the least amount of effort.

The bottom line is with out a doubt the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in and would hesitate to recommend the brand to any one thinking of purchasing a new bed.

Finally we would like say the two chaps who delivered the bed where most helpful, in as much they removed the old one into the garage for us, which was most appreciated for us oldies.
