The Secret to a Great Nights Rest

The Plain Truth - for those that want to know it.

Fact 1: Most of us can get to sleep in a number of places. Be it the floor, the car or on the couch, we can rest for a short amount of time. What many of us don’t realise is that each one produces a different quality of rest.

Fact 2: To obtain a healthy sleep our minds need to sleep and our bodies need to rest and recuperate from the stresses and strains received that day and previously.

In short - our body needs to shut down for repairs and rejuvenate

Fact 3: Health professionals and those in the bedding industry worldwide agree that for rejuvenating sleep to happen we need two things.
  • Our body must be both comfortable and relaxed.
  • Our body must be support in its own particular, natural alignment.

So what type of bed will support and comfort our bodies and minds?

‘Air-pressure Beds’ ?‘Latex Beds’ ?

‘......-pedic Beds’ ?‘Gel Beds’ ?

‘Water Beds’ ?‘Pocket Coil Beds’ ?

‘Endorsed Beds’ ?‘Visco/memory foam Beds’ ?

Which bed aligns our body correctly ????
The Truth is-
NONE !!

Why ?
Fact 4: A mattress will not support and align our bodies correctly if it doesn’t have transverse zones of firmness proportional to our shape weight and size – as they vary along our body.
Such transverse zones are especially important where our body varies most - under our shoulders, lumbar and hips.

Case Study
From the Conclusions on the study ‘Supporting the Human Form’ by Ass. Prof. Nicholas Haritos (Melb. University) we can conclude:-

“No mattress with a flat surface and near-uniform firmness (that’s basically all beds) can support the human body in a near orthopedically correct (zero stress) posture, unless it possesses a:
  • soft zone Fs for the shoulder to snuggle into
  • a very firm lumbar zone Fw to remain high and support our heavy tummy
  • a medium zone Fp to compress and support our even heavier hips/pelvis.
and Fs is less than 50% of Fp and Fw is more than 300% of Fp

What does this mean exactly?
From the case study it is concluded that any retailer or manufacturer that claims ‘their bed can support you and rest you well’ is either misinformed or lying. Mattresses generally sold by both retailers and manufacturers give far too much support at the shoulder but little or no support under the lumbar. Only the Australian designed ‘ergo-posture’ range of beds at Beds for Backs can do so.

Beds for Backs Mattresses
Independent Scientific Testing has proven that Beds for Backs mattresses work very well. Our quality beds and bases cost no more than good quality mattresses from our retail competitors, yet provide a far superior supportive solution.
We invite you to visit our Showrooms and see for yourselves how (what we call) ‘normal beds’ - in all cases - support you like this:

but beds with ‘Variable transverse Zoning’ from our ‘ergo-posture’ range exclusive to Beds for Backs, can in fact support you like so:

and therefore are best able to give you a ‘Great Night’s Rest’ and improved health and wellbeing.
