Comfort relates to the ‘feel’ of the mattress, soft medium or firm. What is your preference?
It is the customer’s role to communicate their preferences to the sales consultant as this is the subjective aspect of buying a bed.
We do not know what you are feeling, BUT, we can observe if you are immersing too far into a soft mattress or sitting too high on a hard mattress
If you prefer a firm mattress, you must be aware that firmness can contribute to peak pressure on shoulders and hips.
You can still have a firm feeling mattress but it is necessary to introduce Corrective Support to more evenly distribute the pressure along the body to reduce peak pressure on shoulders and hips
Conversely, if you prefer a very soft feeling mattress, it is likely you will sink too far into the mattress where you are heaviest contributing to poor posture so, although the mattress ‘feels good’ it may be a poor choice for posture
Again, in this instance, the introduction of Corrective Support can compensate where you need increased support in the lower back region.
Comfort levels can be increased if you are looking for a ‘gentler’ feel by trying a pocket spring or latex mattress…possibly even a pillow top with foam or latex.
